Position Description
The Administrator for the Digestive Health Service Line for Georgia Regents Health System provides leadership, direction, and overall administrative management for the Digestive Health Service Line.The Administrator serves as the senior administrative leader for the service line and partners with the Director of Digestive Health Service Line to provide direction and leadership to achieve clinical and patient/family service excellence, optimal business performance for the practice sites, enhanced education and research, and adherence to the policies and procedures established by Georgia Regents Health System and its associated units. The overall goals of the Digestive Health Service Line include the achievement of integrated physician and medical center goals, excellence in clinical outcomes, superior patient satisfaction, operational efficiencies, a positive economic impact on the health system s finances, and where applicable, supportive linkages to the education, training and research missions.In addition to general functions related to the delivery of optimal patient/family centered care, operational responsibilities of the position include the supervision of staff, serving as medical/administrative liaison, financial management, leadership, staff development and mentoring, program development, project coordination, communication throughout organization and externally, maintenance of environment and security, medical office/administrative policies, conformance to all regulatory requirements and continuing education. The Administrator will also analyze, understand and manage data to drive quality throughout the service line.The Administrator develops business plans in accordance with health system standards, execute business plans as approved by Georgia Regents Health System leadership, develops appropriate internal and external relationships to maximize Digestive Health Service Line s effectiveness and facilitates problem solving across organizational units that support services provided. The ability for the service line leadership to instill a sense of ownership at every level and site of patient care is key to success and will ensure patients are receiving superior digestive health care.This position is responsible for promoting a customer friendly environment and providing superior service to our patients, students, faculty and employees. Communication is imperative for this position due to the executive level decision making responsibilities. The Administrator is the front line contact for senior leadership of the Georgia Regents Health System. The position communicates with staff, physicians and residents to insure the mission of the service line is accomplished.The Digestive Health Service Line includes all locations and services provided by the service line. During FY14, the service line s budget is approximately $43M in annual gross patient revenue, $10M in annual total expenses and includes 15 physicians and 65 staff FTEs. The Administrator of Digestive Health Service Line will ensure that the service line supports Georgia Regents Health System s mission of patient care, research, education and community service.
Position Requirements
Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field is required. At least 5-8 years of progressively responsible healthcare management experience that provided the opportunity to demonstrate critical thinking, business acumen is required.Experience in an academic or group practice setting and experience in Digestive Health Lines is preferred.Demonstrated management experience through P&L accountability for multiple and diverse functional areas. Academic medical center experience is strongly preferred, with a full comprehension of the overt and nuance complexity of collaborating with a school of medicine/practice plan/academic partner, and across reporting lines in a matrix and successful track record of performance in all areas of responsibility, coupled with strong credibility and reputation for delivering desire results. Broad knowledge and thorough understanding of the trends and forces shaping the healthcare delivery system and provision of care, financing of treatment, and other emerging issues in healthcare management, in particular how it relates to Digestive Health services; engaged in key forums (UHC, AAMC, UHC, Advisory Board, etc.) to deepen expertise and bring best practices to the team.A track record of success in the selection, motivation, development, evaluation, recognition, and retention of competent and caring personnel. An organized thinker and clear communicator, with excellent written and verbal skills.
Preferred Requirements

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
