Position Description
Under the supervision of the director, the Provider Relations Specialist is responsible for obtaining patient referrals from both the system and non-system physicians through regular contact, visits and interaction. Incumbant is to act as a liaison between primary care providers and system specialty providers. The Provider Relations Specialist performs duties that support the goals of referral growth through provider satisfaction, education and communication. The Provider Relations Specialist performs duties to support the goals and objectives of the system in its efforts to provide and market programs/services and strengthen relationships with physicians/providers.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's in marketing or health-related field is required. Previous direct health sales or clinical experience. Must have strong knowledge of the health care industry and experience working closely with physicians. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Demonstrated strong written and oral communication and organizational skills. Computer skills are required, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Possession of a valid state driver's license required
Preferred Requirements
Master's degree.Preferred - experience in excess of 5 years in sales and/or marketing in the healthcare industry with demonstrated success.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
