Responsibilities:
-Fills cylinders according to cylinder operations filling procedures
Understands/implements required procedures (standard operations instructions) as established in the relevant Quality Manual
Works in a safe manner while filling/handling cylinders at all times
Reports any safety concern to Plant Manager
Isolates equipment for outsiders and other plant personnel
Checks pump operation
Upkeep of cylinders in regard to defects, appearance and proper labeling
Sends cylinders with major defects to be repaired
Sends cylinders that need to be repainted
Reports quantities filled and variations from schedule
Notes irregularities and serial numbers
Works with team/cross-functional teams to continuously improve the work process
Maintains a clean work area as well as any other area that may be assigned
Identifies and analyzes the components of a problem
Decides whether cylinders can be filled based on condition and compliance with standards
General Requirements:
-Secondary education and/or combination of education and experience in compressed gases
Good written language and mathematical skills
Requires walking or standing to a significant degree
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, a negligible amount of force constantly
Ability to read scales and gauges
