ISP2/3 - Data Center/Headend Technician - (Augusta, GA area)
Data Center / Headend Technician - Level 2/3 TekCom Resources, Inc is currently recruiting for a Data Center / Headend Technicians for one of our national customers with needs in the Augusta, Georgia area.
$28-$32/Hour DOE We're looking for a strong level 2 or level 3 technician to work throughout the region.
Travel will be required as this role however, there is flexibility on location if you are based within the service area.
We are looking for someone who can drive into markets and assist.
Coverage area:
Augusta, Atlanta, Knoxville/Chattanooga to Savannah/Charleston, Carolinas, Asheville, NC, Charlotte , NC & Aiken, SC.
Mileage reimbursed (after 65 miles).
Job Summary :
Install, troubleshoot, upgrade, modify, and perform preventive maintenance on customer specific data centers and headend telecommunication sites.
You will be responsible for headend installation of routers, CMTS (cable modem termination system and other broadband equipment for telecommunication companies.
You'll be expected to manage multiple crews on single-site projects and multiple-site projects.
Must have experience with Structured cabling/HE, RF, HFC, and DOCSIS experience desirable.
No IP work or experience is necessary.
This will be for an overnight shifts.
Role :
You will be responsible for headend installation of routers, CMTS ( cable modem termination system) and other broadband equipment for telecommunication companies.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical instructions, plans blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
Perform RF wiring with RG59 HEC, Mini RF, Cat 5/6, Fiber Jumpers, and associated connectors, between active and passive devices.
Test and label all cables according to the Customer's specifications.
Install racks, set rails, and cable trays.
Travel will be required between localized area sites.
