This is a full-time position with remote work capability. Must be within commutable distance to our Augusta, GA office or our Arlington, VA (Ballston) location. Some travel required.
Technical Focus Areas
This position is focused on research, prototyping, and integration of Command and Control (C2) and Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) capabilities compatible with messaging interfaces such as the Joint Interface Control Document (JICD), Cursor on Target (CoT), and Integrated Sensor Architecture (ISA) standards. using Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/ CD) pipeline automation tools and services within our customer's software development environment. The tools and services focus areas span multiple disciplines, including, but not limited to:
Support development, integration, and testing of interface services
Code library maintenance and inspection
Cloud, on-premise, and hybrid deployment environments
DoD DevSecOps
Containerization and Orchestration
Micoservices architecture and security
Model-based systems engineering
Testing as a service
The Role
You will work closely with our team and customers to integrate requirements, articulate challenges and provide solutions. You will be an integral contributor to the development of our Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) Platform as a Service (EPaaS) while collaborating closely with our engineering and development team to prototype and implement new CI/CD pipeline automation and security solutions, capabilities, and features. It will be your responsibility to design and implement interface services as part of EPaaS for use by EMSO professionals across the Department of Defense (DoD). In addition, you will integrate interface services in EPaaS with service EMSO programs of record to provide our warfighters with advanced EMSO capabilities.
The Journeyman Software System Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Building and implementing interface services between sensors and EPaaS through our CI/CD pipeline.
Working as part of a team to focus on EMS architecture development and integration.
Gathering requirements and functional specifications.
Regularly updating the company on progress and enhancements to EMS and advanced communications systems architectures.
Tracking specifications, standards, guidelines, and requirement changes and
updates, appropriately modifying the EMS related processes, procedures, and systems architecture.
Give explanation for complex problems to leadership in layman's terms
This position also requires quarterly travel in support of Program Increment Planning with the customer. Additional travel opportunities are available for further developing customer relationships.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree with a major in electrical or electronic engineering, computer science, telecommunications management, information systems management, business administration, or other fields related to this position from an accredited college or university, as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. (Years of experience may be used to qualify in lieu of formal education, if applicable)
Minimal
Qualifications:
3 to 10 years of experience in software systems engineering or a related discipline.
Experience with Python, Java, and/or C+
for software development.
Experience in microservices architectural design.
Technical experience with development and integration of cloud or hybrid environments.
Deploying and utilizing CI/CD automation tool sets.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in an agile development environment.
Ability to collaboratively work in hybrid team environments.
Strong, efficient, and effective written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational skills.
Comfortable working with emerging technologies.
Ability to rapidly respond to customer directed requests.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Previous experience in JICD, CoT, and/or ISA development and support.
Linux networking, scripting, and/or operating system expertise, all at the command line level.
Previous experience utilizing development tools including Jira, Confluence, and GitLab.
Previous experience utilizing Agile or Scaled Agile Framework.
Familiarity with DoD EMSO architectures and requirements.
Demonstrated ability to be flexible in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting roles and responsibilities.
Capable of acquiring new technical and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively under indirect supervision.
Required Clearance:
Minimum active Secret clearance
Quarterly travel required in support of Program Increment Planning with the customer. Additional travel opportunities are available for further developing customer relationships.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
