Responsibilities:
The Augusta IT and Automation teams serve the Elanco manufacturing site in Augusta. The team provides information and control solutions that sustain and improve all manufacturing and support areas. This includes planning, development, deployment, and support for the sites information technology and process automation needs
The IT and Automation Manager is responsible for all information technology and process automation systems at Augusta.
Develop an organization consistent with Elanco and Lilly values, with emphasis on technical knowledge, accountability and leadership skills, to ensure delivery of the company goals and peoples personal growth needs
Pursue an injury free workplace by engaging each employee in safety performance enhancement and leading by example.
Provide supervisory functions for Business Integration & Execution Systems area, Process Automation and Computer Systems Validation areas, employees and contractors in the group.
Administer performance management, succession planning, and compensation review for team 10
employees. Coach and mentor the staff to maximize each individuals contribution and to help them achieve their full potential
Serve as a member of the site leadership and Elanco Manufacturing IT network
Operations set priorities for and ensure alignment of departmental and individual activities, provide technical leadership, serve as the computer systems custodian for the site, and sponsor the continued improvement of the computer quality system.
Organizational capability implement business process improvements to continuously improve effectiveness
Manage for results develop an aligned business plan for IT and Automation departments and allocate resources to deliver the plan; manage contracts and vendors.
Develop and /or supervise the monthly reporting of departmental performance metrics
Networking/Partnering Partner with internal customer groups to stay abreast of needs and influence the global MQ IT and Automation groups to satisfy those needs, work closely with local business teams to ensure successful launch and support of centrally supported applications
Develop short and long term vision for the acquisition and use of IT, Automation and Control Systems for the plant.
Implement following approved roadmaps.
Maintain IT and Control systems master plan.
Maintain IT and Control systems CSV plan.
Maintain IT and Control systems roadmap.
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
Seven (7) years of experience in IT and/or Automation/control systems related fields.
Five (5) years of experience in manufacturing, preferred in pharmaceutical or other regulated industries.
Management Experience
Computer System Technical Experience
Project Management Experience

Computer Systems Validation, Infrastructure Platform Qualification and Software Quality practices.
System Lifecycle management.
Project Management.
Computers and telecommunications equipment.
Software applications such as MS Office.
Programmable Logic controllers (PLCs), instrumentation and/or other control systems hardware and /or software is desirable.
Additional Information:
Work schedule 8-hour day shift with on-call coverage as required Minimal travel required Position may require exposure to production areas
