Summary of
Responsibilities:
To serve as CAD Technician and Mechanical Drafter working within the Engineering Department providing a support role to Engineers and Designers.
Job Duties:
Produce and check 2D fabrication detail drawings from 3D models utilizing AutoCAD.
Prepare Steel Summaries (Bill of Materials), Shipping Lists, and Bolt Lists utilizing Excel.
Release drawings for fabrication.
Work with fabrication shop personnel to answer questions or solve problems encountered during the manufacturing process.
Maintain CAD workstations, AutoCAD licenses, subscription renewals, etc.
Maintain equipment such as printers and copiers; manage paper, toner, and cartridge inventory.
Make copies of drawings and other clerical tasks as required.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be proficient in AutoCAD.
Good organization skills and attention to detail is a must.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required (Excel/Word).
Must be able to communicate clearly and function in a delivery driven environment.
Education:
AS in Drafting Technology or related field with 1- 2 years minimum experience.
