Materials and Logistics Manager - Automotive
Tier 1 Automotive Company - 325 person plant - need strong leadership to Turn-Around operation!
Directs and coordinates the activities in purchasing and distribution of raw materials, equipment, machinery and supplies to the facility so that manufacturing can obtain its throughput, inventory and operating expense objectives.
Focus is on Supply Chain leadership of purchasing, scheduling, planning, materials and logistics for a Tier 1 Automotive Supplier serving 10 major Automotive companies.
Tasks/Actions of the Role:
Prepares purchase orders, instructions to vendors, negotiates price terms and conditions to meet specifications required and ensures that objectives are met with proper cycle time.
Knowledgeable of market conditions and vendor sources to prevent raw material shortages while remaining in compliance with company policy.
Schedules and coordinates flow of work between customer and area of plant to manufacture goods to meet demands, throughput, inventory and operating expense objectives.
Reviews master schedule, establishes priorities and availability of parts, material, machines and equipment.
Communicates to business unit managers any changes by customers, production downtime that effects customers and takes alternative methods to meet demand.
Maintains raw material levels to facilitate manufacturing requirements of throughput, inventory and operating expense.
Directs the activities of other team members within the departments to meet demands, manages personnel in department, leads projects.
Reviews daily customer releases, verifies daily shipments against inventory and daily scheduled manufacturing to determine priorities to meet demands.
Monitor automotive customer's computer system for delivery schedules, shortages, PPM's and other concerns.
Monitors all delivery performance categories and submits corrective actions when necessary in the customer's preferred format or system (requires Chrysler on-line eCIMS training completion and understanding of response to Ford QRs and GM PRRs). Reviews monthly ratings from the customer for accuracy.
Verifies shipping instructions and customer orders to meet schedules.
Adheres to applicable TS16949 requirements, plant safety and environmental (ISO 14001) requirements
Preferred Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Engineering or related field orequivalent training and/or experience.
Financial background, education, or ability to understand financials (P&L) a definite asset.
Five - ten years experience in manufacturing, preferably automotive industry, .
Strong personal leadership, vision, organizational and communication abilities, technical and mechanical background desirable.
Knowledgeable of customer product line and internal manufacturing processes to include all functions from raw materials to finished goods, as well as equipment and machinery.
Computer
Experience: M/S Word, Excel, Impact, ERP, MRP, STX, EDI, DDL and SMART systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
