Maintenance Superintendent

Eco-Staff, LLC is currently hiring a Maintenance Superintendent for a company in the Chicago Heights plant. All candidates must have the following experience in order to be considered for the position.
The Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for supervising the maintenance function at the Chicago Heights plant, reporting to the Plant Manager. This position will supervise five (5) hourly craftsmen and outside contractors as needed. The Maintenance Superintendent will be responsible for the overall HS&E performance for the Maintenance department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, commitment to Solvay standards, and for conducting department safety meetings and training. In addition, this position will have oversight of an annual department budget, manage service contractors, and ensure equipment reliability through good maintenance practices in repairs, inspections, preventative & predictive maintenance, as well as following the appropriate standards for new equipment installations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications

Requires BS Degree in Engineering, Chemical or Mechanical preferred
Minimum of 5 years related plant experience, with 2 years in maintenance or project engineer role in a chemical plant strongly desired
2
years of supervisory experience in an union environment preferred
Strong HS&E Leadership
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning/scheduling skills
Familiarity with industry standard manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures
Ability to analyze complex issues, develop and implement clear action plans
Experience with plant turnarounds and shutdowns
Proficient CMMS user with SAP or similar system
