SUMMARY
o A Merchandiser supports the Merchandising Manager in the entire development process from concept to delivery and retirement by coordinating products that meet customer needs, drive sales, and ensure timely execution of each stage of the process.

RESPONSIBILITIES
o Implement product strategies into the development of assigned product lines
o Initiate garment specification packages, fabric/trim and color development, prototype sampling, and costing while ensuring conformity with intended design and target market/category
o Responsible for calendar adherence for assigned product lines
o Responsible for line lists
o Coordinates product information needed to drive specification, planning, forecasting, and distribution systems
o Maintains and manages SKU's as directed
o Conducts professional product presentations in conjunction with Merchandise Manager, Designed, and Marketing as required for sales, customers, and internal departments
o Complies trend and competitive analysis
o Travels to between offices and other divisions, trade shows, and customer accounts
o Sets up Trade Shows as requested
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications include:
o Bachelor of Science in Merchandising, Marketing, Business, Fashion Design or Textile Management
o Three years of professional product line management experience-new product and fabric development, competitive analysis, costing, price and margin analysis of new and established products
o Must possess a high level of basic computer skills to include: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Photoshop
o Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
o Knowledge of PDM systems and Adobe Photoshop, desired
o Solid written and verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate ideas and perspectives with peers and supervisors
o Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
o Solid interpersonal skills and an ability to motivate and influence behavior for desired results
o Ability to function both strategically and tactically
o Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously-effective planning and organizational skills
o Ability to lead cross-functional teams
o Bias for action and a drive for results
