Plans and lays out work from verbal directions, rough sketches, and incomplete blueprints. Demolishes, assembles and installs framework (both wood and metal), drywall, installs doors of all types (both steel and wood) and all related hardware, interior and exterior trim, drop ceilings and flooring. Frames and hangs windows (wood and aluminum),fabricates and laminates cabinets and counters of work and plastic and a variety of window glass. Operates and maintains tools and equipment necessary for performance of duties. Work Schedule:

Experience:

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Physical Effort:
The incumbent's work requires considerable bending, kneeling, and stooping. When at a job site, strenuous physical exertion is sometimes required when handling heavy and bulky materials such as sheets of plywood, framing members, and other building and construction materials. Incumbent Carpenter may use manual or portable power tools for extended periods in uncomfortable positions. On-site work typically requires bending, stooping, crawling, and climbing on ladders, scaffolding, and rooftops. The Carpenter may lift and move materials up to forty (40) pounds, unassisted, and occasionally lift or move heavier items with the assistance of lifting devices or other workers. Working Conditions:
Some of the work is performed by the incumbent in shop areas where the worker is exposed to moderate or high noise levels and other hazards associated with woodworking and operating power equipment. When working at job sites, workers may be exposed to weather conditions and the hazards of working on and around scaffolds and ladders. Such as, superficial burns, cuts, bruises, and contusions. Incumbents may work in confined areas of the medical center, such as dirty crawl spaces and interior wall units. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
