Licensure or Certification is not required for this occupation; however, it is strongly desirable at grades GS-6 and above as evidence of possession of the essential knowledge, skills, and abilities. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are also desirable. Preferred
Experience:
Registration by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) ) is highly desirable. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are also desirable. Completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of ultrasonography, OR comparable work experience in the practice specialty of abdomen and OB/GYN. Experience and formal education in neurosonology and vascular ultrasound. Ability to provide coverage after normal working hours for emergencies. Grade Determinations GS-08 At least 1 year of experience comparable to the next lower grade level which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics related to the duties of a Medical Instrument Technician (MIT) Diagnostic Ultrasound. This would be experience which provided the overall knowledge, skills, and abilities to conduct diagnostic ultrasound examinations in complex and unusual cases. In addition to meeting the basic requirements, applicants at this grade level must demonstrate the following (KSAs) knowledge, skills, and abilities. You will be rated on the following Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other characteristics (KSAOs) based on your application for this position. 1. Ability to perform diagnostic ultrasound examination on multiple areas of the body, including, but not limited to, the abdomen, pelvis, trans-vaginal, chest, small parts, thyroid, breast, and scrotum. 2. Ability to perform vascular studies such as vertebral, renal artery, aortic aneurysm, portal-systemic shunts, etc. 3. Ability to assist radiologists with biopsy procedures determining the location, depth, and required needle angle for the lesion to be sampled. 4. Ability to assist in surgical procedures and fluid aspirations. References:

Heavy lifting of 45 pounds and over; heavy carrying 45 pounds and over; straight pulling and pushing; reaching above the shoulder; use of fingers, both hands required; walking; standing; kneeling; repeated bending; ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously; near vision correctable at 13 to16 to jaeger 1-4; and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/20 and to 20/40 in the other.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
