Screens calls and visitors to Affiliations and Education Service, referring to staff members and forwarding to Associated Chief of Staff and Supervisor only those calls or visitors requiring Manager's attention. Schedules appointments and makes commitments for Associate Chief of Staff for Affiliations and Education to attend meetings. Reads all incoming correspondence, determine proper action, at times preparing answers before referring to Service Chief. Review outgoing correspondence and reports prepared by Affiliations and Education staff, ensuring proper format, correctness of detailed information, correct grammatical content, and determining that all necessary information has been coordinated and is in accordance with established policy Establishes and maintain suspense control records on correspondence, recurring and non-recurring reports and other action documents Maintain calendar for Associate Chief of Staff for Affiliations and Education; schedules appointments, coordinate meetings, and schedule conference rooms. Serves as Primary Timekeeper, coordinates and assists with timekeeping issues throughout Affiliations and Education. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Reviewing correspondence and documents prepared for signature to ensure compliance with regulations, rules of grammar, and format guidelines; skilled in the use of a variety of computer software programs, database management, timekeeping and spreadsheet utilization; skilled in proofreading and final review of correspondence and reports; experience compiling summaries of minutes and meetings, and preparing minutes and agendas for distribution. Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:
Work is mostly sedentary, with some walking, standing, bending and carrying of light items such as papers, files, manuals, educational supplies, and an occasional requirement to move educational materials/equipment such as flip charts, overhead projectors, tables, chairs, etc. Requires long periods of sitting in one position for typing and other stenographic duties including the use of a personal computer. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
